*ATTENTION DOCK HOLDERS To ensure your dock rental for the 2008 Season, please have your dock deposits in by October 15th, 2007,as stated in your contract.
*** THIS NOTICE IS TO INFORM YOU OF A CORRECTION TO THE CONNEAUT PORT AUTHORITY RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE 2008 SEASON.
RULE #24 STATES THAT ALL BOATS HAVE TO BE OUT OF THE WATER BY THE CLOSING DATE OR A $25 PER DAY FEE WILL BE LEVIED AGAINST THE BOAT OWNER. THIS FEE IS BEING RESCINDED IMMEDIA TEL Y. OUR TARGET CLOSING DATE IS STILL OCTOBER 151H BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR BOAT ON THAT DATE. WE REALIZE THAT MANY OF OUR DOCK HOLDERS LIKE TO FISH OR BOAT BEYOND THIS DATE. WE DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MOVE YOUR BOAT TO ANOTHER DOCK IF WE NEED TO WORK ON YOUR DOCK OR OTHER DOCKS NEARBY.

2008 SEASON
1. This agreement is solely for the owner and vessel listed: a. Owner may not assign, sublease or transfer this agreement to any other person or vessel. b. The Dock Master Dock Mistress will assign all storage. They are the only people who can change that assignment.
2. All storage shall be at the sole risk of the owner and owner shall at all times maintain liability and casualty insurance coverage on the vessel, property within and activities in connection therewith. The Conneaut Port Authority shall not be liable for and is thereby released by owner for all claims of damage or loss to the vessel or owner due to fire, theft, coIlision or other casualty. Owner shall indemnify and hold collision, injury or other casualty to persons or property caused by the negligence of owner or the condition or use of vessel.
3. Owner shall, at all times, keep his vessel and surrounding space clean and free of debris or any conditions that may be dangerous to the health, safety or well-being of any person. No flammable or hazardous substances may be kept in or around any vessel or marina property. It is owner's responsibility to correct any conditions in or around his vessel, which constitute a fire hazard, health menace or nuisance. If owner should fail to do any of the foregoing, necessary steps will be taken to remove the hazard or correct the condition and charge the expense to the owner.
4. Conneaut Port Authority will not be responsible for any losses, damages or injuries to owner, his Family or guests while on the premises. Owner must accompany all children under age 8 while on the docks. All children under age 12 must wear life preservers while they are in or around any vessel, dock or water area.
5. Owner must secure vessel in his slip, properly and safely with a minimum line of 1/2"in diameter. All new dock holders will be instructed on the proper procedures for tying up vessel. Each season, all dock holders must obtain the Dock Master/Dock Mistress approval when they first dock their vessel. Owner will be charged for any damage caused by an improperly moored vessel.
6. For the benefit of the owner, the Conneaut Port Authority may take actions deemed necessary to save or protect a vessel from damage or destruction without the owner's knowledge or consent. This will be done at the owner's expense.
7. No persons other than the owner, his immediate family or guests will be allowed aboard the vessel while in storage.
8. To help provide owner's convenience, safety and to allow for guest dockage, owner must file a Float Plan and notify the Dock Master/Dock Mistress when vessel will be absent from storage for more than 48 hours.
9. Owner must be responsible for all family and guests. Owner agrees that he, his family, nor his guests will cause any disturbances.
10. Owner must keep vessel and surrounding area in clean condition
11. Quiet time will be observed from 11 :00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M. every day.
12. Absolutely no roller skates, roller blades, skate boards, bicycles, scooters or motorized scooters will be permitted around vessels.
13. a. For all PCM dock holders only...Vessels will be fueled only at the gas dock. No vessel shall be fueled from any container. You must observe the "No Smoking and Turn Off All Switches" sign while at the gas dock. Use blowers for ample time prior to starting engines after fueling. b. Lagoon dock holders... Vessels may only be fueled by the vessel owner; vessels may only be fueled with approved safety containers and proper fueling permits. While fueling vessels, there will be no smoking permitted and all electrical switches must be turned off. Use blowers for ample time prior to starting engines after fueling. * Note: Fueling of vessels with fuel containers over the 6 gal limit requires a fueling permit issued by the Conneaut Fire Chief or his designate and a current copy of your permit must be on file in the Conneaut Port Authority office.
14. Boat trailers are not allowed to be stored on premises.
15. Dock Boxes must be installed by authorized personnel and must meet Dock Master/Dock Mistress approval.
16. No fires, firearms or fireworks will be tolerated on premises.
17. Fish may not be cleaned on premises.
18. Each owner may have only one vehicle on premises. Owners and their guests must park in designated areas. Vehicles should not block roadways or dock entrances. Violators will be towed at owner's expense.
19. It is prohibited to throw or discharge sewage, oil-laden bilge fluids, refuse matter or any other pollutants into the waters of the marina / lagoon. In the event of such discharge, the owner will be responsible for the cost of clean up. All removed oils, residue and solid refuse must be disposed of in accordance with all existing local, state and federal rules and regulations that govern such action. All vessels that receive sewage should be fitted with Type 111 Marine Sanitation Devices and Holding Tanks. No "Through-Hull" valves or fittings will be allowed.
20. All pets must be leashed whenever they are on the premises. At no time will pets be allowed to run at large. Owner is responsible for proper disposal of pet's waste. If the pet becomes a nuisance, the owner will be required to remove the pet from the premises. Absolutely, at no time, will any pet be permitted into the club house, the office or the restrooms.
21. Dock Master / Dock Mistress reserves the right to move owner's vessel within the premises at any time.
22. a. Lagoon dock holders… All padding, carpeting, bumper materials, stand-offs, etc. must be in good condition and removed annually in accordance with dock lease agreement. *Nothing is to be attached to the new floating docks. * b. PCM dock holders...No padding, carpeting, bumper materials, etc. will be tolerated in the Marina.
23. No swimming or fishing will be allowed in the Lagoon or Marina.
24. All vessels must be out of the water by the closing date. A fee of$25.00 per day will be charged to the owner for any vessel still in the water after that date. All charges must be paid in full before vessel leaves the premises.
25. Conneaut Port Authority reserves the right to reject any contract application on the basis of the condition of the vessel. A vessel may be rejected if it is believed to cause a hazard to the Lagoon or Marina.
26. Overnight camping is prohibited.
27. Owner will comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Conneaut Port Authority, City of Conneaut and the State of Ohio that may pertain to the dockage, storage or operation of the vessel. The owner shall correct any violation.
28. Vandalism of any kind on The Conneaut Port Authority property will not be tolerated. Violators will be removed from the Conneaut Port Authority property and possibly loose future privileges. No refunds will be issued. The Conneaut Port Authority will follow "zero tolerance" policy.
29. No illegal substances will be tolerated on Port Authority premises. If you violate this rule, you will be removed from the property and possibly lose future privileges. No refunds will be issued. The Conneaut Port Authority will follow "zero tolerance" policy.
30. Copies of your current boat registration and boat insurance policy, with effective dates, are required each season. If your insurance or registration expires during the boating season you must submit a copy of the renewal to the office.
31. The Conneaut Port Authority reserves the right to change or amend these Terms, Rules and Regulations as it deems necessary.
32. All boats must be registered to the dock holder only with all required documentation. NO SUBLETTING OF DOCKS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
33. No electrical devises of any type are to be submerged in Conneaut marina waters without prior approval of the Port Authority Board. ..
